Scrap Sari Skirt

This skirt has been a labour of love for me over the past month. It's the first piece to be created in my studio and I love it dearly.

The garment is made entirely from scrap strips of recylced Sari head dresses from a shop named yarn yarn yarns, who work with recycled materials to created yarn, there is also an appearance of banana silk yarn throughout the skirt, also from this shop.

Overall, the garment took 20 hours of straight crochet to complete and although to the untrained eye it may appear to be just a skirt, it is, in my mind, a work of art.

If you are considering purchasing the skirt, firstly, thank you and it's a honour. But secondly, this is a hyprid clothing and art piece and cannot be mistreated, due to the materials used, it cannot be washed, and should not get wet. This is not to say don't wear! I would absolutely endorse wearing the skirt as it is still very well functioning and has a lovely flow!
